mucosae SRV10 isolated from donkey milk. All major in vitro screening assays were employed to evaluate studied strains. As such, lactobacilli are very diverse in nature and origin and are found in rich, carbohydrate‐containing niches such as plants, human and animal intestine, silage and milk (Hammes and Vofel 1995; Bernardeau et al. 2008). Many Lactobacillus strains have been reported to produce exopolysaccharides (EPS) (De Vuyst and Degeest 1999).

Bile acid profiling of porcine and murine bile following incubation with Lactobacillus mucosae DPC 6426 confirmed a preference for hydrolysis of glyco-conjugated bile acids. In addition, the purified exopolysaccharide and secretome of Lactobacillus mucosae DPC 6426 were investigated for immunomodulatory capabilities using RAW264.7 macrophages. Proteomes. x; UniProtKB. The bile and acid tolerance of the BSH-active Lactobacillus strains are shown in Table 2. Lactobacillus reuteri A9, L. mucosae A13 and the positive control strain L. plantarum ST-III showed tolerance to pH 2.5 and 0.3% oxgall. L. reuteri had the greatest acid-tolerance ability at 79.51%, while L. plantarum ST-III had the lowest at 71.62%.

The study, for the first time, reports the efficacy, safety and probiotic properties of two Lactobacillus mucosae strains, Lact. mucosae SRV5 and Lact. mucosae SRV10 isolated from donkey milk.

Gut microbiota are closely associated with the occurrence of psychiatric disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and anxiety/depression [7, 14, 15]. Germ-free or antibiotics- Lactobacillus mucosae is a natural resident of the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals and a potential probiotic bacterium. To understand the global protein expression profile and metabolic features of L. mucosae LM1 in the early stationary phase, the QExactive™ Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer was used. Lactobacillus mucosae is currently of interest as putative probiotics due to their metabolic capabilities and ability to colonize host mucosal niches.

Lactobacillus mucosae DPC 6426 secretome and EPS induce macrophage phenotypes that share features of both classically and alternatively activated macrophages Recently, it was posited that ingestion of Lb. mucosae DPC 6426 alters lipid metabolism due to the production of a complex polysaccharide [5].

Valid publication: . Roos S, Karner F, Axelsson L, Jonsson H. Lactobacillus mucosae is a Lactobacillus species recently discovered to be a natural resident of the human and animal gastrointestinal tract. L. mucosae is a Gram-positive, heterofermentative bacterium found on the mucosal surfaces of pigs, cows and humans (Bleckwedel et al., 2014; Lee et al., 2012; London et al., 2014; Roos et al., 2000). 2019-01-01 · Lactobacillus mucosae is currently of interest as putative probiotics due to their metabolic capabilities and ability to colonize host mucosal niches. L. mucosae LM1 has been studied in its functions in cell adhesion and pathogen inhibition, etc.

The gene, LM-lysoPL, encoding LysoPL from L. mucosae LM1 was cloned, analyzed, and expressed. LM-lysoPL contained a conserved region and catalytic triad motif responsible for lysophospholipase activity. After purification, UHPLC-MS analysis showed that recombinant LM-LysoPL hydrolyzed Lactobacillus mucosae, etc ; Lactobacillus acidophilus; Lactobacillus fermentum; Lactobacillus rhamnosus; Toll-like receptor 3; Toll-like receptor 4; cattle; chemokine CCL2; enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli; feedlots; heat stability; inflammation; innate immunity; interferons; interleukin-1; interleukin-6; interleukin-8; intestinal mucosa; lactic acid bacteria; mitogen-activated protein kinase Lactobacillus mucosae is a rod shaped species of lactic acid bacteria first isolated from pig intestines. It has mucus-binding activity. The species is an obligate anaerobe, catalase-negative, doesn't form spores and is non-motile.

Lactobacillus fermentum, and Lactobacillus pontis (1). L. mucosae CRL573 (CERELA Culture Collection), isolated from child fecal samplesinTucumán,Argentina,wasoriginallyidentifiedasL.fer-mentumand later reclassified through 16S rRNA gene sequencing (LX03_06360) as L. mucosae (our unpublished data). This strain Lactobacillus mucosae strain Marseille, isolated from stool samples of a child suffering from a malnutrition disorder called Kwashiorkor, produces bacteriocin and seems to have specific carbohydrate and lipid metabolisms different from those of other Lactobacillus organisms. The draft genome sequence of this strain is presented here. Laktobacili (lat.Lactobacillus; lac, genitiv lactis: mlijeko + bacil), rod grampozitivnih štapićastih bakterija koje šećere razgrađuju u mliječnu kiselinu fermentativnim putem. S pomoću pojedinih vrsta laktobacila dobivaju se različiti proizvodi mliječno-kiseloga vrenja ( jogurt , kefir , kiselo mlijeko ).
